Ffynnonweb is owned by Julia and its primary focus concerns the extent to which users are coping with the changing online landscape as it embraces Web 2.0 and Social Media; viewed from the change management perspective.

Julia has recently been appointed as an eLearning Support Officer within SWWHEP (South West Wales Higher Education Partnership) and is one of the co-ordinators of The Trinity TEL project.
The overall objective of this project is to assist colleagues to fulfill the requirements of HEFCW (The Higher Education Funding Council for Wales) that all HEIs embed technology into their learning and teaching strategies as soon as possible.
A number of initiatives will be launched within the partnership to that end and Trinity TEL is just the start of a range of new and exciting Web 2.0 pilot projects.

Julia graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems with Management in July 2008 after studying flexibly as a mature student over 5 years and is currently researching with a view to studying flexibly for a Masters Degree in Learning and Teaching with Management.

She has a particular interest in the expanding and developing fields of work based learning, professional accreditation of staff development and widening participation in higher education, conducted almost exclusively online and using a range of new technologies or ‘weblications’ including VLEs (Virtual Learning Environments) blogs, social networks and wikis.

If not updating Ffynnonweb, she can often be found tinkering around on Reality 2.0 - a leisure-based online social network or even updating Jewels Web Graphics - her original graphics website (est. 2001!) - housing Paint Shop Pro graphics tutorials, web resources and tutorials, plus lots more web-type goodies!!
